At Tristar Marine, we're excited to announce the addition of 3D laser scanning to our services. This technology allows us to obtain precise measurements of an object's size and shape, converting the data into a digital 3D representation.

Applications in the Marine Industry
Traditionally, designers and engineers used tape measures to record measurements on existing systems and spaces, which were not always accurate. This often required extra allowances, especially on older vessels needing retrofits in tight, confined spaces, adding to costs and inefficiencies.
Our 3D laser scanning technology addresses these issues by capturing a vast number of measurements quickly and accurately, within 3 mm over 10 meters. The gathered data can be used for various tasks, including installing ballast water treatment systems, identifying structural damage, adding exhaust gas cleaning systems, converting ships, replacing pipelines, and other necessary adjustments.
Benefits of 3D Laser Scanning:
Increased Speed & Accuracy
Captures millions of data points in seconds, examining vast surroundings quickly and accurately.
Risk Mitigation
Surveyors can observe hazardous and unstable locations without physical entry.
Reduced Costs and Time
Fewer man-hours spent on measurements lead to reduced time and costs.
We are excited to leverage this technology to enhance our service offerings and deliver even greater value to our clients.
