Non-Destructive
Testing

Our Non Destructive Testing services ensure the integrity and safety of your marine & offshore assets without causing any damage. With a certification in both ASNT & PCN, we are capable of supporting your projects.

  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

UT is used to detect surface and sub-surface flaws in welds and components, as well as measure material thickness to assess metal losses from corrosion or erosion.

  • Radiography Testing (RT)

RT is used to inspect piping, pressure vessels, and valves, and provides clear, permanent images of the components tested.

  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

MT is used to detect surface and near-surface flaws in ferromagnetic materials, such as carbon steel.

  • Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)

PT can be applied to both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, though for ferrous materials, MT is often preferred because it can also detect subsurface flaws.

  • Vacuum Test

Vacuum Test can be used to detect leaks and flaws in welded joints, tanks, piping systems, and similar structures.

  • Hardness Test & Post Weld Heat Treatment

Hardness Test is used to measure a material’s resistance to indentation or brittleness, often conducted on welds and base metal during welding or heat treatments.

  • Phased Array Ultrasonic Test (PAUT)

PAUT utilizes multiple ultrasonic elements to inspect materials for defects, providing enhanced flexibility & accuracy. It is used for inspections where traditional methods struggle due to shape or access limitations.

  • Eddy Current (ECT)

ECT uses electromagnetic induction to detect surface and near-surface flaws in conductive materials, and can also measure coating thickness and material properties, and heat treatment conditions.

  • Wire Rope Test

Wire rope testing is a vital process to ensure safety and reliability, using visual checks, non-destructive methods, and tension tests to evaluate the rope’s condition and overall integrity.

  • Hatch Cover Leak Test

We employ UT technology to detect leaks or weaknesses in hatch covers of vessels. Our operators place devices in the cargo hold emitting sounds above 20 kHz, then measure how much of the sound leaks past the hatch covers.
